  Lovely beginner violin

  When I first opened the case, I was a little worried that I may have bought a piece of junk. My initial thoughts were - this is a little too light, it won't hold a tune and it just feels cheap. Once my daughter's violin instructor looked it over and tuned it for me, she gave her thumbs up and said it's a great beginner violin, especially for the little amount that it costs.   Great instrument for the money!

  This has been a great learning violin for my child. The music instructors will have you believe that you need to spend $500 on a starter violin for your child, but this is just fine, thank you! Why rent an expensive used violin or buy an expensive one when you can have this, complete with the case? My child has learned how to play very well on this and it will be in beautiful shape to pass on to my younger child when they start to play. This is a very good option for those who don't want to spend a small fortune renting a violin or breaking the bank buying an expensive new one.   Vary Bad Quailty of Violin

  I bought this violin 6 months ago for my daughter. When it arrived, the bridge was not installed, the tuning going off very frequently. When the strings tighten to tune the instrument are not staying which requires to tune every time that she wants to use. My kid's music teacher is not happy with the instrument as it is taking too much of her time to keep the instrument tuned. This product is a waste of money.   Better than expected

  I got my 4 year old this violin for Christmas thinking it would be a cute gift. I didn't really have high expectations other than I knew that I didn't want a plastic "toy". The violin is amazing! It is well crafted- all wooden frame and body with real bow. The case makes it easy for her to carry and care for. My daughter loves it and she is actually able to "play" it. She sounds like a little musician. It was well worth the cost- you can't even get a toy violin for the same price.   The Violin was ship in a timely matter, and at a very decent price. I brought it for my 9 yrs old daughter who is learning how to play.   Doesn't stay tuned

  I am very disppointed with the violin because it's the main thing my daughter asked for from Santa. I took it to the music store to get tuned and they said it was very cheaply made and only to be used as a toy not for lessons. They tuned it as well as they could but it doesn't stay tuned... have to keep tightening the strings over and ove. It doesn't sound good at all....Also, the case busted open at the seams on the bottom when we zipped it up!   Nice little violin for the money

  I've played the viola most of my life, so my daughter decided to try Violin. This violin arrived in great shape. I had been told that sometimes the cheaper violins need some work when they arrive. This one didn't. We tuned it and it was ready to go. The only issue is that it might need to have the strings separated a little - they are very close together. This could be easily done by making new notches in the bridge. Overall, it has a nice sound and holds a tune nicely. We've been using it for almost a year now. 5/5 E.   I bought this violin recently for my nephew. He's absolutely fallen in love with this violin--he hasn't been able to stop practicing ever since getting this violin. The sound is just so rich and warm. Initially I had some concerns about buying a violin online, but I had used this company before so I called them with my questions. They even informed me that the violin had a full bridge setup--one of my main questions and concerns. Customer service was extremely helpful and appeased all my fears.   Cecilio - Mendini Blue 1/2 size violin

  I bought this blue 1/2 size violin for my 9 year old daughter as she out grew her 1/4 size violin (pink colored one). Once again was not disappointed with the Cecilio product. I could have bought a regular wood finished violin at a higher cost, but figured that she'll only use this one for a year before moving up to the next size violin and may as well keep it fun for her as she is the only one in her orchestra with a non standard wood finished violin and she love to play this instrument. Once again, remarkably for the price (about $50)this instrument has pretty decent tone. What keeps me from giving this a 5 star rating is that it was a bit of a chore setting up the bridge initially. But after getting it tuned for the first time, then the fine tuning by her violin teacher, it really has decent tone.
