  Cecilio 15in viola

  It has been a several weeks since I received my Cecilio 15in Viola. I have been enjoying the sound and the learning experiance. For the vender and the deal I got when purchacing the item I give high marks; however, the bow that came with the outfit below par compared to the actual instrument. the silver/nickle wrapping is nothing more than clear nylon line over what looks like aluminium foil.   Viola for my 6th Grade Daughter

  We bought this viola for my daughter to play in 6th grade orchestra. When we received the viola, we actually were going to return it. It seemed cheaply made, but since we've never seen or held a viola before, we decided to take it to a local music store and have them check it out. We were told that the viola was well made and sounded great and that it was perfect for my daughters first instrument! Buying this instrument was only $15 more than a year worth of rental fees. If she decides not to play next year, it's still worth the extra $15 to be able to keep the viola! Very happy with our decision to keep the instrument!! 5/5 Kristy L.   Good student viola for the price

  I bought this viola for my 5th grade daughter to play in her school's beginner orchestra because the school-provided instrument was too small and pretty bad quality. I've owned a Cremona boxwood violin for quite a while and found it quite playable, so I figured this viola would be fine for her. She is now taking lessons and has moved up to the "advanced" orchestra. Her teacher loves the sound of this viola, as do I. I actually expected her teacher to look askance at the viola, but in fact she thinks it's great. When strung with good perlon strings (Dominants), it has a really warm throaty tone.I would definitely recommend this viola for a beginning viola player. I'd have given it 5 stars, but the bow that comes with it is not great. The bow tends to be really skippy on the A-string; we've tried other bows and they were fine. I'd say if you get this viola and you get frustrated with the sound on the A-string, you could replace the bow with something better (a carbon... 4/5 Gregory A.   These work exactly as decribed. Just twist the stripped ends of your speaker wire, push through the connector, screw down the banana portion of the connector, et viola! nice gold plated banana connectors! no strain relief so tugging on the end result is not recommended but these are MUCH better than leaving the twisted bare copper ends to oxidize on your speaker posts. 5/5 Anthony S.   Superb connectors for amplifier speaker connections

  These connectors are a SUPERB solution. The wire (whether thin gauge "zip wire" or thick Monster Cable wire) is splayed out in this connector and locked in securely via a screw in fastener. The banana tip then feeds into the amp's banana socket with a minimum of fuss and ensures a low-impedance connection. The plugs themselves are very rugged and make a solid, reliable contact. You shouldn't ever have to mess with them again.If you have a 6.1 system, you need three packs of these for the amp-side connection. Placed on high quality speaker wire, these connectors are a permanent solution. But don't worry, if you upgrade your speaker wire later, these connectors come off in a jiffy. Worth the price! 5/5 D.   Titles, etc. Do Not Rip into Windows Media Player

  Watch out if you plan to rip these CD's into Windows Media Player. The titles, performers, composers, etc. info only shows up in WMP for one of the ten CDs, leaving the rest simply listing Track 1, Track 2, etc. Other than that rather serious disappointment, I have been generally pleased with this collection. 3/5 K.
