Notes: In the realm of "public domain movies" this little film is a gem. Recently praised and remade into the 2007 movie "I Am Legend"; "The Last Man on Earth" chronicles the personal struggle of a scientist attempting to find a cure for a vampire strain that has been unleashed upon the world. This film is: amazingly interesting, classically intriguing, and hauntingly controversial (of the time). "The Last Man on Earth" is a must see. |
